Summary
A Nairobi homestead in Muthua, Kabete, served as the backdrop for a secret counterfeit juice operation until an alert member of the public notified the authorities. Acting on the tip-off, Kabete Police Station detectives moved in quickly and caught two men, Alex Mwaruta and James Munala Inyangala, mid-production. Officers arrested both suspects at the scene. A thorough search of the property uncovered a fully functional counterfeiting setup. Investigators recovered roughly 1,400 filled 200 ml and 300 ml bottles of suspected fake juice, 56 cartons of empty bottles, five packets of bottle caps, two blue industrial drums, and three plastic basins.
